Naheliegend, dass der türkischstämmige Musiker sich auf das Arsenal der Orient-Percussion versteht. Doch Murat Coskuns Horizont reicht noch viel weiter, wie seine zahlreichen Aufnahmen zeigen – unter anderem mit dem Ensemble Fisfüz, Klezmer-Klarinettist Giora Feidman, der iranischen Santur-Spielerin Arezoo Rezvani oder US-Vibraphonist David Friedman.
