Das Schlüsselwort ist „square“, womit das Gegenteil von „hip“, also „sehr angesagt“ gemeint ist. Im Kontext hier deute ich also auf die eher „schräge“ Musik hin, die aber doch über einen Rhythmus verfügt, zu dem getanzt werden kann. Ich stelle mir hier David Byrne vor, wie er sich bei manchen Livekonzerten der Talking Heads bewegt hat, eckig und schräg.
Tanzen lässt sich übrigens nicht nur auf Parties oder auf der Tanzfläche, sondern auch in den eigenen 4 Wänden – mit der richtigen Musik kommt man da fast nicht drumrum 🙂
