Kurator Micah Thomas wollte „Dinge ausprobieren, die ich noch nie gewagt habe“. Und „Dinge“ hat der 25-jährige Pianist schon so einige gewagt, in einem Stil, der „sowohl die Geschichte als auch die Gegenwart des Jazz in einer einzigen Bewegung nachvollziehen kann“ (New York Times). In der Jazz Session gibt’s Höhepunkte von Micah Thomas und seinem Sextett Forest aus den NEWJazz Meeting Konzerten zu hören.
