Live bei den BBC Proms: Das BBC Concert Orchestra und Dirigent Robert Ames feiern den Prog-Rock gemeinsam mit dem Moderator von BBC Radio 6 Music, Stuart Maconie, und besonderen Gästen.
Der Prog-Rock sprengte die engen Grenzen der Popmusik, erweiterte sie um neue symphonische Dimensionen, Ambitionen und Einflüsse und schuf spektakuläre visuelle und musikalische Statements. Die „Proms“ würdigen diese bahnbrechende, von Großbritannien ausgehende Bewegung in einem Konzert, das klassische Titel in orchestraler Besetzung präsentiert. Der preisgekrönte Moderator und BBC Radio 6 Music-Host Stuart Maconie präsentiert brandneue Orchesterarrangements von Stücken von ELP, Genesis, Jethro Tull, Mike Oldfield, Renaissance und anderen.
