Radiotipp – Radionacht Jazz 1.5.2024: „L’Heure bleue“ – Die Farbe Blau im Jazz

Von und mit Karl Lippegaus. An besonderen Tagen wie dem 1.5.2024 ab 01.05 Uhr, wird sie wieder ausgegraben: die Radionacht Jazz in voller Länge von 5 Stunden!

Über „Kind Of Blue“, „Blue Train“, „Mood Indigo“ und „Pastel Morning“ führen viele Pfade zur Farbe Blau im Jazz. Der Saxofonist James Brandon Lewis bezeichnet seine Kompositionsmethode als „Molecular Systematic Music“ und die Chemie in seinem Quartett profitiert von ihr. Vom Konkreten ins Abstrakte führt der in München lebende Südfranzose Matthieu Bordenave sein Quartett durch das in der Provence entstandene Album „The Blue Land“, inspiriert von der Künstlergruppe Der Blaue Reiter. Der Poesie alter Schwarzweiß- und früher Farbfilme spürt Renaud García-Fons mit seinen Kontrabässen nach. „Inner Hidden Lands“ nennt der Geiger Régis Huby seine Ambient-Music, die über flüchtige Blicke, Lichtstrahlen, Gesten und die Melancholie reflektiert. © Text: Karl Lippegaus.
